Clean Vents

Most problems occur due to clog at the vent system. Most notebook computers have vents located around the case to allow air to flow through the case. If these vents become clogged, or if heat-generating parts become covered with dust, the fan cannot cool the components properly, this will cause laptop overheating. Lint and dust accumulation prevents air from flowing around the cooling fan blades and causes the fan to work harder and the laptop to get hot. In order to fix this overheating, clean the laptop by blowing out the dust from around the fan and heat shield. This prevents dust from accumulating.

Cooling Pad

Laptop coolers are meant to provide additional cooling. However, getting the wrong cooler can actually make the problem worse. Most laptops suck in air for cooling from the bottom. This makes sense because warm air rises upwards. However, a cooler that sits underneath the laptop and sucks air away from it, does not contribute to laptop cooling and rather accelerates overheating. That’s not how you fix overheating laptop. So guys, choose properly your cooling pad. The function is more important compared to feature or design.

Replace Thermal Paste

We will not go to define what is the function of thermal paste in a laptop. However, more on the technical part when replacing thermal paste. While replacing thermal paste, we suggested you guys to clean both surfaces, remove old surfaces and prepare the surface for new thermal paste.  Make sure it looks like a mirrorlike mirror surface. Next, spread the thermal paste evenly, you might use an old credit card or anything with a flat surface. Remember, if this step is not done accordingly, the heatsink fan will go crazy and your laptop might blow up! If you are not expert, please, refer your laptop to any service provider that provides professional service to fix this overheating.

Uneven surfaces, like a blanket, pillow, or your lap, obstruct your laptop’s airflow. Most laptops suck in cooling air through their bottoms. This will lead to the cooling is impaired, heat builds up, the surface becomes hot, the temperature of the air sucked in cooling air increases, and eventually the laptop overheats. How to resolve this problem? SIMPLE! Keep the laptop on a hard and flat surface! That’s how you fix the overheating laptop problem.
